Judy Pratt & Her Cat ( of 2 poems) _P**

Judy Pratt & Her Cat Part 1

Judy Pratt

she had a cat

that

stayed in her den.

That old cat

was the world to her

since the death

of her husband.

Judy Pratt

she took the cat

out with her

one night.

Went to the park

wandered in the dark

sat on a bench

and died.

The next time that she saw him,

she was lookin’ down from the sky.

Judy Pratt said to the cat:

“Billy Bob-don’t you cry.”

Billy Bob

choked back a sob

when he heard

Judy Pratt say

“I’m doing just fine

on this cloud of mine

and I’ll see you

some day”

Billy Bob

didn’t wanna go on

but he knew that

he must

He was walking back

to that park one day

and

was hit by a bus.

The next time that he saw her,

they were sittin’ up in the sky.

Judy Pratt said to the cat,

“how are you friend of mine?”

Judy Pratt & Her Cat Part 2

Judy Pratt,

sat with her cat

high up

in the air

Looking down,

upon the town

and what

they were doing there.

People walked,

and people talked,

they did

this everyday

Judy Pratt,

and the cat

didn’t

have much to say.

So Judy asked the Saint one day, if they could return to Earth

the Saint said, why yes you can, just make you time worth

While they went,

down from the clouds

Judy

and Billy sang:

“It’s gonna be,

so fine a time”

’till the

hour it grew late.

Judy Pratt,

and the cat

landed

in front of a train.

When it came,

it ran them down,

and it

was much the same.

So Billy Bob and Judy Pratt, back up to Heaven went

but they were happy, to be together, once and for all again.
